We are
entrepreneurs who, with our yacht rental company Yachts4U, are a member of the HISWA. The HISWA is a branch organization for
water sports in The Netherlands of which companies that
operate in water sports are a member. Being a
HISWA member
(visit
their site about us) means that we have to meet up to their standards of quality
conditions. Because of these conditions we are obliged to
offer you, as water sports lover, the security you justly
demand as modern consumer. This means good products with
prices according to the market and excellent service.
As a HISWA organization we are informed excellently daily
by HISWA regarding recent developments in our branch. Another
benefit of being a HISWA member is that we get frequent
refresher-courses to maintain our professional knowledge and
expertise.
HISWA rental
As a member of HISWA we
make use of the
HISWA general conditions for rental of
pleasure boats
drawn up by experts of the ANWB, a sister organization of the
ADAC in Germany and the AA in the UK, and the Consumentenbond, a
sister organization of the Stiftung Warentest in Germany and the
Consumers’ Association in the UK. This offers you clarity.
Arbitration
Being a HISWA member we will refer you to the
Arbitration committee for recreational
water sports in case of a dispute in which we
cannot come to a mutual agreement.
Their
verdict will be binding. The arbitration committee was started
in order to solve any disputes between you and a HISWA company
in a practical, quick and capable manner. The arbitration
committee for recreational water sports is an organization
existing of the ANW, the Consumers’ Union and the HISWA, and is
recognized by the Dutch government. Any verdict done by the
committee will be binding. Furthermore, HISWA offers security
for its members in case a HISWA-member, unexpectedly, cannot
execute a binding advice.
No invisible costs
We operate by the
code travel offers that forbids the use of invisible costs. This code is officially
recognized by the Dutch Government, and obliges all companies
that work under this code to offer their prices in a transparent
way. This code was taken in use some time ago, when mainly the
travel industry was using a nontransparent price structure for
consumers. Because of this, consumers were often confronted with
unforeseen extra costs. Because of the code travel offers this
is no longer possible. We also would like to point out our
terms of payment to you.

only used by banks and large companies, but this type of

Tjeukemeer, close to the town of Lemmer in Friesland. The harbor
is situated at the junction between
the Frisian lakes and the waters of Overijssel.

How
it all started
In 2005 we
started the rental of our yacht the Gerda. Just for a hobby. In
2006 we bought the yacht Vesta and at the end of 2007 we bought
the yachts Lilian and Reina. In September 2008 we bought the
Carla, in August 2009 the Linda and at the end of 2010 the Elisa. We turned our hobby into our
profession and started working under the name Yachts4U in 2008.
As a company, Yachts4U, we are able to offer you a much better and more
professional service but, at the same time, we still have the
same service and personal attention as we used to have during
our hobby rental years.
